my official 1st entry
Sunday, March 19th, 2006okay…i’ve never done anything like this before…never mind that now…there’s always a first time for everything…and that includes blogging….
i’ve been in nz for more than one month now…still can’t stop missing my family…esp my little nephews and nieces (if everything goes as planned, i will be getting another nephew/niece next week), my friends, my cassettes, my books, among others…
actually, that’s not the reason why i’m writing this…something incredible happened this afternoon…not to me, but to one of my housemates…ida @ ida nadira ibrahim…and sayda as well…we were watching a cultural performance this afternoon at te papa museum…we were sitting close to a guy…he’s the guy who’s supposed to record the whole thing…he was not feeling well…how do i know this, you might ask…i know because he collapsed ON TOP of ida and sayda…right on top of them!!! one minute i was talking to ida and sayda and the next they were UNDER him…sort of like a ‘now you see, now you don’t’ moment…it was hilarious…at least i think it was hilarious…ida is still shaken about the whole thing…she probably doesn’t think that it was funny…
things like that keep happening to us…that’s the beauty of living in wellington…this place just keeps you guessing…so far we’ve been pelted by hail…were nearly knocked off our feet by the nasty wind…were forced to grab and hold on to strangers for dear life…the fun just keeps on coming…
